Home Chef

What is Home Chef?

Home Chef is a home delivery service for meals. I got into this after seeing a commercial. These days people are looking for more ways to get grocery and meals delivered so they stay out of the store. My husband and I tried 3 different companies and found we liked enough about this one to do a Home Chef Review. If you aren’t into cooking at home, the company offers Fresh and Easy, chef-prepared meals that are delivered right to your door.

Home Chef gives you several menu combinations to choose from. Each meal is separate with all the ingredients you need already prepared with exception to the oil, spices or any condiments. We loved the instructions. It comes with a before you begin section and very simple and easy instruction on how to cook.

How Home Chef works:

The package comes in a box with ice packs holding it fresh right to your doorstep. The food is ready to season to your personal taste and cooked by you in 30 minutes or less. It’s a great taste and it is fresh.

We respect companies that are honest about food being fresh when they advertise it that way. We have had a few disappointments in the past in that area and that is what prompted us to do this Home Chef Review, we’re happy and will continue using this company.

Here is how it works.

So, how does it all work? The first step after signing up is my favorite part! My husband and I filled out their personal taste form. This helps us to fashion our personal meal plan around our preferences and our dietary restrictions.

Our aunt that eats with us a couple times a week or more who is Type 2 Diabetic. There’s no guesswork with the meals we set aside just for her. We can enjoy her company with no extra work, and that makes her happy.

After you sign up and do all the preferences, you will get an email every week on a Monday. The company gives you 21 meal ideas centered on you. There is no rush to order right then as long as you do so by Friday noon time, Central Standard Time, US.

We have our regular favorites but we like to be adventurous sometimes so we may wait until Thursday to order. We have never had an issue and no mistakes upon receipt of the meals.

What does Home Chef cost?

Home Chef makes this simple too. You are never wondering what your usual or new meal choices cost. Each serving is $8.99 and for each total order the shipping is only $6.99. This makes things easy from meal planning to extra or fewer people. Whatever your lifestyle, this is great for you.

The amounts that you can order per week are two, three, four and six.

The people that Home Chef is for:

Are you busy and do not have time to cook but are not the fast-food type? Maybe you want to kick that habit and get healthier without all the bad preservatives and fat of fast food. Home Chef can help with that.

Single people that want to have a nutritious dinner several times a week can also take part. In the comparison, it is not much more expensive if at all than groceries. Besides, what single person do you know that wants to cook fresh every night for themselves? Health is a trend, but that does not mean everyone is a foodie or a cook. I think this delivery service is a lifesaver. Elderly people that need simple for them or a caretaker to prepare can benefit from this.

What type of meals does Home Chef Offer?

The meals are in categories of Vegetarian, Calorie Conscious, Carb Conscious, less than 30 Minutes to make.

The meals are delicious. I love the vegetarian style. Not because I am a vegetarian, but because sometimes I like to have a meatless choice. The flavors are fantastic. An example of one of my personal favorites is the Tomato Cream Pasta. They top it with grilled cheese croutons. The vegetarian soups are incredible. I love the roasted sweet potato tortilla soup with Avocado Crema. Learn more about the Home Chef weekly menu here.

My hubby likes the Teriyaki Ginger Pork Medallions with Piri Piri Stuffed Peppers and Cucumber Sauce. That is from the Carb Conscious menu choices. Some of this choice you can find on the Calorie Conscious menu choices and the less than 30 minutes to make.

The less than 30 minutes to make we stockpile for lunches or lite meals. We love the salads.

We both agree that the meals are worth every penny and we are not bothered by any of the time or number of meal restrictions. The point about choosing a meal delivery company is that it has to fit your lifestyle. If it fits you and your family, then the price is right because it will save you in time and effort in the long run.
