What does the Standard 11 course include?
This program consists of 6 nationally-accredited competency units, recognized as core S11 modules by the QLD Department of Mines.

Apart from teaching safety protocols, the course also discusses the history of coal mining and where the industry may go in the future.
Participants must complete the assessments to complete the course. They also need to provide an experience form, along with verifiable evidence to get a job in this industry. Each participant will receive a Statement of Attainment and Competency ID Card once they successfully complete the course.
The Standard 11 Induction program is valid for five years after which you must take a 1-day refresher program. It ensures that you are still up to date with the skills you learned from the Standard 11 Induction course.
